Thank you for your interest in our local chapter of
the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. The national website
is www.aalnc.org. There
are presently 52 chapters of our National Association across the United
States. We are the only New England chapter and have a current membership
that is continually growing.
This chapter is comprised of enthusiastic and
professional nurses who support and promote our AALNC mission statement,
which states: The AALNC promotes the professional advancement of
registered nurses consulting within the legal arena by providing a forum
for education and exchange of information.

Our membership has a variety of legal nurses with expertise ranging from
pediatrics to geriatrics, surgical and medical, and everything in between.
Our legal experiences are just as diverse ranging from over fifteen years
experience to newly participating members. We have nurses who practice in
law firms, hospitals, insurance companies and nurses who practice as
independent legal nurse consultants. Some members serve as experts in
their areas of clinical practice for both defense and plaintiff attorneys.
Our meetings are held 4-6 times/year and vary in content. We have a website for networking and sharing information. Some of our previous
meetings have been forums for educational purposes such as sharing
reports, looking at writing styles and software that is available,
timelines and publications. We have hosted plaintiff and defense
attorneys, worked up cases together and shared our strategies and
outcomes. Some meetings are reserved for planning chapter sponsored events
and participating in other nursing organizational offerings. Many of our
meetings provide nursing contact hours.
We invite you to attend our
next chapter meeting and hope that you find legal nursing as interesting
and exciting as we do! Please check our
Calendar for the next chapter meeting.
